NeuroLab Istanbul 2026 – Best Case / Best Research Paper Awards

As part of NeuroLab Istanbul 2026, we are pleased to announce two special awards designed to encourage and support young clinicians and researchers in the field of movement disorders: Best Case Presentation and Best Research Paper Presentation.

  • The awards aim to highlight outstanding clinical and scientific contributions presented during the course.
  • All submitted projects will be evaluated by an independent academic jury based on scientific quality, originality, and clinical relevance.


General Rules for Application and Award

  1. Eligibility: Residents, fellows, or early-career researchers in neurology and neurosurgery are eligible.
  2. Submission: Each applicant must submit an original clinical case or research abstract related to movement disorders using the designated 👉 application form provided by the organizing committee.
  3. Abstract Format:
    • Case Presentations: Clinical vignette format (history, examination, investigations, management, discussion)
    • Research Papers: Structured abstract (Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
  4. Evaluation: Submissions will be reviewed and scored by an academic jury according to:
    • Originality & innovation
    • Scientific quality
    • Clinical relevance
    • Presentation quality
  5. Selection: One Best Case Presentation and one Best Research Paper will be awarded. The decision of the jury is final.
  6. Participation Requirement: The applicant must be registered and physically present at NeuroLab Istanbul 2026 to present their work.
  7. Awards: Each awardee will receive:
    • A certificate of achievement
    • Disorders of Movement: A Guide to Diagnosis and Treatment book signed by Alberto J. Espay, Alfonso Fasano and Francesca Morgante
    • Free registration for the next NeuroLab Istanbul course
