
Sevda Erer Özbek (MD) graduated from Uludag University Faculty of Medicine in 1997. Between 1999-2003, se worked as a research assistant in Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology. She started to work as a specialist in the Department of Neurology of Uludag University on 27.11.2003. In order to improve and experience in Parkinson’s Disease Movement Disorders as her area of expertise, she first worked as an observer doctor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology, Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Unit (Prof. Dr. Bülent Elibol) between 01.03-01.06.2004. Then, she worked abroad as an observer doctor at Baylor College of Medicine Parkinson ‘s Disease Center and Movement Disorders Clinic Houston Texas (Prof. Dr. Joseph Jankovic) (01.09.2005-01.04.2006). She became an Assistant Professor in Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology on 15.09.2009, and an Associate Professor on 28 09. 2011. she served as the head of the Department of Neurology between 01.10.2011 and 2017.
In the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, University Kiel, Christian-Albrechts Germany Education & Training Deep Brain Stimulation, (Prof. Dr. Günther Deuschl) attended on 10-24.01.2017 for training in deep brain stimulation.
She is still working as a responsible lecturer in the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Clinic and Botulinum Toxin Therapy Clinics in the Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, Uludağ University.
