
Prof. Dr. Selim Selçuk ÇOMOĞLU graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. Between 1991 and 1992, he completed his compulsory service at Eskişehir State Hospital Emergency Department. In 1992, he began his residency training at the Neurology Clinic of Ankara Numune Hospital, where he completed his specialization in 1996 and was awarded the title of Neurology Specialist. While continuing his career as a specialist in the same clinic, he was granted the title of Associate Professor in 2004 and was appointed as Chief of the Neurology Clinic at Dışkapı Training and Research Hospital in 2005.
In 2011, he was appointed as Professor in the Department of Neurology at Karabük University, where he served until 2014. Between 2018 and 2021, he held the position of Chief Physician at Ankara Dışkapı Hospital. Following the relocation of Ankara Dışkapı Hospital, he was appointed as the Head of Neurology Education at Etlik City Hospital, a position he continues to hold.
Dr. Çomoğlu has authored more than 200 articles published in international and national peer-reviewed journals, has served as editor for 2 books, and contributed 2 book chapters. His additional professional roles have included Coordinator of Intensive Care Units, Chair of the Brain Commission, Chair of the Scientific Research Coordination Office, and membership in the Ministry of Health Scientific Commission on Hunger Strikes. Furthermore, he is a member of the Movement Disorders Working Group of the Turkish Neurological Society and the Paraplegia and Rehabilitation Association.
