
Cihan Isler, M.D., is a Professor of Neurosurgery at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, with clinical and academic interests in epilepsy surgery, glioma surgery, functional neurosurgery, and neuroanatomy. His research interests include intraoperative neuromonitoring, deep brain stimulation, advanced surgical techniques, and especially epilepsy surgery.
He has contributed to the field through over 60 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters, with an H-index of 17 on Web of Science. He has also been actively involved in neurosurgical education and training at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa since 2014, mentoring medical students and residents as part of his academic role.
In addition to his work in education and research, he is a member of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society, the International Epilepsy Surgery Society, and the Deep Brain Stimulation Society. He currently serves as the President of the Division of Stereotactic and Functional Surgery of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society.
